Though 'DUFF' is an easy and smooth read, I can't recommend it for all ages. She clearly has a successful future ahead of her. Every girl can easily relate to Bianca - we all have felt like the DUFF at some point.Īlso, I was really impressed (and distressed) when I discovered that Keplinger is only 18. I loved the main character and the chemistry she shared with Wesley and her BFFs. It addressed serious issues that a lot of young adults face today. It was incredibly refreshing to read about something other than vampires and werewolves, or teen tragedy. I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. The kiss quickly turns into an 'enemies with benefits relationship' and before she knows it, Bianca is trying to escape a whole other problem she never anticipated. Surprising to both of them, the kiss isn't bad. In fact, she hates him, but in a desperate attempt to distract herself from problems at home and in her own life, she kisses him. Seventeen-year-old Bianca Piper is completely loyal to her best friends and continually cynical of man-slut Wesley Rush.
